Every child should take ballet... Not to become a ballet dancer, but to be exposed to classical music. Being exposed to classical music gives them beautiful thoughts, and much more vivid imaginations. ~Marcia Dale Weary
Welcome to Ashkenazy Classical Ballet
Founding Director, Elesia Chéree Ashkenazy
Elesia fell in love with classical ballet from the moment she stepped foot inside a studio. She has trained and performed at pre-professional academies under master instructors in California, Idaho, Oregon, and New York. A strong interest in ballet pedagogy and instruction led Elesia to pursue the Vaganova Method, Advanced Beginner and Level 1 certification via Inna Stabrova of the Ohio Conservatory of Ballet. She has also been recognized by American Ballet Theatre as an outstanding applicant to the Project Plié National Curriculum Teacher Training Scholarship.
Following in the footsteps of her instructors, Elesia is honored to pass down everything she has internalized throughout her career. She has developed the gift of sincere connection with her students while holding exceptionally high standards. Elesia nurtures technique, strength, flexibility, artistry, musicality, etiquette, and precision...all while infusing her lessons with the sacred joy of ballet. |
